Who can apply for a Divorce in Singapore?
You need to satisfy certain criteria before the Family Court will allow you to get a Divorce in Singapore.
You can apply to get a Divorce in Singapore if:
- You or your spouse is domiciled in Singapore at the time of start of Divorce proceedings. You are regarded as being domiciled in Singapore if you consider Singapore your home and intends to reside in Singapore indefinitely.
- You or your spouse lived in Singapore for at least 3 years immediately before the start of Divorce proceedings in Singapore.
